ROLES:
Creative Space Designer (2025)
Performer (2024-2025)
Artist Liason (2023-2024)
I have been fortunate to work with Woodburnia Festival across multiple years in a variety of roles. In 2023, I supported artist liaison, working closely with seven Scandinavian internationals who I had previously toured with and remained good friends to this day. In 2024, I continued in artist liaison while also performing at the festival. By 2025, my role expanded further as I coordinated the festival’s new "After Party Simulator" — a chill-out zone unlike anything the event or other events have seen before - while also returning to perform. These experiences not only deepened my connection to the Woodburnia community but also allowed me to bring both professional coordination and creative performance to the festival each year.
With a budget of just $400, I was tasked with designing and producing an “After Party Simulator" that doubled as the festival’s chill-out zone. I approached it like a mini end-to-end campaign: clarifying the brief, sketching the concept, then prototyping the layout using Facebook Marketplace images to create a roughly to-scale mock-up. From there, I sourced all components second-hand, planned the most fuel- and cost-efficient pickup routes, and tracked spend against the budget to maintain a strong ROI.
On site, I brought the space to life as a playful, low-pressure lounge that complemented the main program. The build included a Nintendo Wii, lamps, books, movies, instruments, a mini-football table, drawing materials, poems, games, and useful amenities—curated to invite people to decompress, connect, and stay awhile. The result was a distinctive environment that felt hand-made and memorable, true to the festival’s culture and unlike a standard “chillout tent.”

ROLES:
Main Stage Manager & Lead Volunteer (2025)
Volunteer (2023-2025)
Performer (2022)
I’ve also been deeply involved with Outsider Festival in a variety of roles - starting as a performer in 2022, then volunteering across 2023–2025, and most recently stepping into the position of Main Stage Manager & Lead Volunteer in 2025.
These experiences have given me hands-on insight into event operations from both the artistic and organisational sides. As Stage Manager, I coordinated stage schedules, liaised with artists and crews, and ensured smooth transitions between performances, while also leading a team of volunteers on-site. Being trusted to take on progressively larger responsibilities at Outsider has strengthened my skills in coordination, communication, and problem-solving under pressure, while also deepening my connection to the live music community.
ROLES:
Marketing, Artwork, Logistics,
Line-up, Performer, Videographer
One of my proudest projects was an event that captured the spirit of old-school DIY rave culture within a modern club setting.
I created a phone-in infoline where attendees could hear text-to-speech details about the lineup, bringing a playful nod to classic rave culture. To build early hype, I launched a physical media campaign for early-bird tickets that included a sampler CD from the artists — costing less than $1 each to produce and post, yet selling out in under 10 minutes. I also designed all artwork and advertising materials, including a distinctive ASCII art showcase of the lineup, and distributed physical flyers at other events to generate word-of-mouth buzz.
On the night, I performed as part of the lineup while also coordinating logistics. The event sold out completely, and I documented parts of it on video, uploading a recorded set to the (now archived) Sydney Elektronik page to extend the experience beyond the dancefloor.

In 2019, I volunteered for Soft Centre, providing general assistance across event operations. This role gave me early exposure to the behind-the-scenes work that keeps music events running smoothly, from setup and logistics to artist support and audience engagement. It was an important foundation for my later roles in festival and event management, reinforcing my appreciation for teamwork and the operational side of the electronic music scene.
